Cylonic Knights board the aethership Atlantia (Steampunk Battlestar Galactica 1880 1).

Cylonics are mechanical, bi-pedaled robots created by Professor Baltar during the Ovion Wars (Steampunk Battlestar Galactica 1880 1) utilizing the raw materials on the Colonial prison planet Helia (Steampunk Battlestar Galactica 1880 2).

Coordinated by the babbage computer Lu-c-fer, the Cylonic Knights were able to turn the tide in the Ovion Wars. Following the end of this conflict, Baltar used the Cylonics in his quest for personal power, thwarted by Archduke Adama and the Quorum.

Baltar, Lu-c-fer, and the Cylonics went into exile, settling on the planet Gamoray. From there, they established a presence and created larger armies to return and wage war on the Twelve Colonies.

Cylonic Knights[edit]

Cylonic Knights are the ground force and fodder, typically the size of a standard adult humanoid.

Mechanically, Cylonic Knights are clockwork machinery programmed via punchcard.

Knights are armored, featuring a single eye-slit with a "roving" red eye that moves to and fro. Knights are capable of basic speech consisting of various whrrrs interspersed in statements, e.g. "by whrrr command."

For weaponry, Knights have guns in their arms, the muzzles to which are located in the palm. Knights may also use hand-held weaponry.

As a next iteration of the Cylonic Knight, Baltar intends to use Human brains to operate them, and his Cylonics abduct Apollo for such a conversion (Steampunk Battlestar Galactica 1880 1).

Cylonic Centurions[edit]

Cyclonic Centurions wreak havoc on Caprica (Steampunk Battlestar Galactica 1880 1).

Cylonic Centurions[1] are larger, sky-scraper tall versions of the Cylonic Knights, and are the newer creations of their self-titled "Imperious Leader," Baltar. They look and act like Cylonic Knights with a few exceptions, namely that the aforementioned Knights can be deployed by palm-guns and that it takes a Knight's head to "plug into" the machine to operate it.

Centurions are heavily armored and able to resist aethership weapons fire. However, the Colonial Empire's forces were able to defeat some Centurions by "tripping" them using cables delivered by grapples.

Centurions are put to use during their ground assault on Caprica, and aid in Caprica's destruction by firing Knights at the aethership Atlantia, thus allowing the Knights to board the ship and turn it into a bomb that destroys the colony (Steampunk Battlestar Galactica 1880 1).

Cylonic Aetherships[edit]

A fleet of Cylonic aetherships encountered near Gemini (Steampunk Battlestar Galactica 1880 2).

The Cylonics use aetherships of both capital and fighter classes; larger ships are known as basestars while smaller fighter crafts are known as Raiders (Steampunk Battlestar Galactica 1880 2 & 3).
