I think this proposal could solve our recent consternation. --The Merovingian (C - E) 22:59, 22 April 2006 (CDT)

Appreciation[edit]

I appreciate you recent contribs, and hope you add more in the future. I know that you have a lot to contribute. --FrankieG 10:08, 5 August 2006 (CDT)

Thanks again; do you have any more of these?--The Merovingian (C - E) 10:16, 5 August 2006 (CDT)

I sure do. Thanks for the support guys. And I did get permission from Ian Cullen on August 4 to post his 2002 interview with RDM. I would also like to post any "unconfirmed rumors" that I announce on Shaunomac's S2D show. Would that be a problem? Koenigrules 10:55, 5 August 2006 (CDT)

We have develop a really strict policy (see Citation Jihad) about everything has to be officially sourced. Maybe we can "advertise" your appearances on the show? We should be able to come up with some way to get people pointed toward them somewhere. Other ideas? --FrankieG 10:55, 5 August 2006 (CDT)
Perhaps we could bump up Subject2Discussion to the Main Page's links section, as there are so many cast members that appear on the show, etc....wait a minute I think it isn't even in our links archive...I'll fix that...--The Merovingian (C - E) 11:00, 5 August 2006 (CDT)
Added it in, though I don't know how we decide what goes on the front page; btw why do we only have 3 sites listed in each link category on the front? I always thought like 4-5 should be on the front. --The Merovingian (C - E) 11:07, 5 August 2006 (CDT)
If the Mp3's where transcribed with a spoiler tag they can be stored on the show if they have any thing related, but nothing inside BSG can cite to the source page. The {{podcastother}} and {{spoiler}} tag would need to be used for those Source pages. (i.e. Sources:Subject 2 Discussion, 11 April 2006) It be basically historical purposes only. --Shane (T - C - E) 11:05, 5 August 2006 (CDT)
More interviews and info would be excellent, but I really think that you shouldn't post any "unconfirmed rumors". After that big arguement in April, we had a discussion over how to deal with the ongoing problem of "how do we know if someone is passing along an honest rumor, or is just some livejournal girl making stuff up about Roslin and Adama getting married, etc? So now unless a cast or crew member can be directly cited as saying something, we don't post it. We don't post unsourced stuff that appears on S2J...and we don't even post like, spoilers from TVGuide which can't be confirmed-->I.e. if TV guide has a David Eick interview we'll use that, but if like Mike Ausellio says "there are rumors that Ellen Tigh is going to die"...to be honest I think TVguide and others are often just using you and S2J as their info source (which is cool for you, I think) but ultimately we thought the way to avoid any future conflicts over whether or not unsourced stuff is true is simply to have a really strict "only cited cast or crew" policy on that. It's a bit limiting, but I support it because I think it would lead to less future conflict. --The Merovingian (C - E) 10:58, 5 August 2006 (CDT)
If you could advertise when I would be on with BSG information, that would be helpful. I am not on every week, and sometimes I provide info about other shows: the Gates, The 4400 and WHO. But if you can find a way to mention when I am on S2D with respect to BSG a day or two earlier than the airing, that would be helpful. Typically, Shaunomac sets up his agenda late Sunday night- early Monday am. So just tell me who to contact (via PM), and I can do that- if you are still interested in advertising S2D at some point. Otherwise, I will keep on providing interview contributions to your site- and hopefully new ones as well.-Koenigrules 13:10, 5 August 2006 (CDT)
Oh yeah, we'll just stick it in our Main Page's News box (or you can yourself); to edit that go to "Battlestar Wiki:News". (Btw, I agree: Stargate: Atlantis is a good concept but it's really shape up or ship out at this point)--The Merovingian (C - E) 13:14, 5 August 2006 (CDT)
More interviews are up with RDM & Aaron Douglas. Enjoy.-Koenigrules 15:35, 5 August 2006 (CDT)
Just posted a bunch of interviews this evening. Enjoy! -Koenigrules 12:10, 8 August 2006 (CDT)
Awesome! The "sources" namespace had been a little barren up until now. It's exciting to see contributions like this! --Steelviper 07:38, 8 August 2006 (CDT)
Wanted to be sure everyone saw THE latest interview with RDM. I have already obtained permission & have posted it. -Koenigrules 12:48, 9 August 2006 (CDT)
Great interview. I unbolded part of RDM's answer in question 8. Feel free to rebold if I was incorrect. --Steelviper 07:36, 9 August 2006 (CDT)
It appears to have been a simple formatting error, when you compare it to the original at Ian's site. Anyways, great interview and I'm delighted that it's available here! --Larocque6689 13:14, 9 August 2006 (CDT)
