Operation Raptor Talon is a military operation occurring on day 4,571 of the First Cylon War.

The objective of the mission is to attack an unnamed "ice planet", which is rumored to house a Cylons superweapon. According to intelligence on hand, the Cylons have three Raider wings, ground forces, defensive batteries and nuclear weapons (Razor Flashbacks, Episode 1). Additionally, the Cylons had at least two basestars defending the planet (Razor Flashbacks, Episode 3).

Raptors from Raptor Squadron 2 are the first to be launched in the operation, but are ambushed by Cylon forces; among those hurt in the initial engagement are Jaycie McGavin, who was severely injured when her console exploded (Razor Flashbacks, Episode 2).

During the offensive, the battlestar Columbia is destroyed in orbit around the ice planet from missile salvos unleashed by baseships (Razor Flashbacks, Episode 3).
