I'll admit, I never did get into the old series (I was just coming into the world as it came out)I saw the series on SciFi a few times, but they were random and didn't do much for me.
Update (10/5/06): I'm back after a 6 month hiatus.  I'm ready to get back into discussions with all of the BSG faithfulHope to catch you online!

When I first saw the mini-series, however, I was an instant fan.  The grittiness and realism was a very real part of Science Fiction that was missing; The series brought that back in a big way.  No more glamorous "utopian" lifestyles of The Next Generation, but something more closer and something more of us can relate to.

Welcome to the BSG Wiki. A bit of a formatting note: Please use a colon (:) rather than an asterisk (*) for indenting your responses on talk pages. It increases readability greatly. At least, to me. And it is the accepted convention. This is my first Wiki, too, so no worries on that count. I just thought I'd mention it. Hi, Sgtpayne. A number of contributors, including myself, were confused by your recent reorganization of The Eye of Jupiter. I have reverted the article. Unlike many episodes where events on a planet, on Galactica or in the Cylon fleet are held concurrently and are relatively disconnected, this episode is generally chronological, and events between the Colonials and Cylons are "real-time" where each side reacts to the other, like our battle page summaries. As such, breaking up the events by location was very confusing. Also, your reorganization removed many conventions previously inserted, particularly links and formatting that should remain. --Spencerian 11:54, 20 December 2006 (CST)

Intro

Hi everyone! This is the talk page for Sgtpayne. This is my first "wiki" experience, so apologies in advance if I don't get it right. If there are questions, the board is open.

Update (10/5/06): I'm back after a 6 month hiatus. I'm ready to get back into discussions with all of the BSG faithful. Hope to catch you online!

I can understand your point, but for me, I would have to say it doesn't leave a visual cue where the last point ends and the first one begins. The thoughts tend to blur when you fast skim down the page, at least for me. But I can certainly give that a try. Thanks! -Sgtpayne 22:19 EDT, 27 September 2005
The level of indenting is intended to be that clue. Bullets don't nest as cleanly as you'll have, eventually, seven or eight bullets flying off your post at the left. Yuck. --Day 00:57, 28 September 2005 (EDT)

Recent Rollback
