== Sheppard in the Miniseries ==

I received an e-mail from [[Kevin Grazier]] today, noting a few corrections and observations on the Wiki. One of those corrections was regarding [[Sheppard]], particularly noting that he appears (somewhere) in the Miniseries. So if any of you guys get the chance and want to watch the Miniseries again, could you please be on the lookout for any references to Shep? Thanks! -- [[User:Joe Beaudoin Jr.|Joe Beaudoin]] [[User talk:Joe Beaudoin Jr.|So say we all]] - [[Battlestar Wiki:Site support|Donate]] - [[bsp:|Battlestar Pegasus]] 14:31, 5 February 2008 (CST)
:Interesting. He might be one of the background pilots or mentioned somewhere in the wireless chatter. That will be hard to pinpoint though. -- [[User:Serenity|Serenity]] 14:58, 5 February 2008 (CST)
:Hmm, somehow that seems familiar but I can't place how I know that.  What else did he say?-- [[User:OrionFour|OrionFour]] 16:22, 5 February 2008 (CST)
::He noted that the name "Stepchild" in Kara's [[Scar#Noteworthy Dialogue|speech]] was written as "Steptoe" in the script. Other than that, he mentioned to me that he was writing up an article for his tech blog and was using the Wiki to do some research, which is what prompted him to send me corrections and his few notes in the first place. :) -- [[User:Joe Beaudoin Jr.|Joe Beaudoin]] [[User talk:Joe Beaudoin Jr.|So say we all]] - [[Battlestar Wiki:Site support|Donate]] - [[bsp:|Battlestar Pegasus]] 16:31, 5 February 2008 (CST)
:::Coolness. He's noted a few technical errors in some articles that I've yet to correct...gotta get to his tech blog for the specifics. '''''<nowiki><geekmode> Glee!!! </geekmode></nowiki>''''' --[[User:Spencerian|Spencerian]] 15:03, 6 February 2008 (CST)

:We've seen this before. It's a low-level item that Joe should be able to intercept. The user has been contacted to choose an account, but there was the matter of ensuring that users couldn't make such accounts. Joe should know. --[[User:Spencerian|Spencerian]] 17:00, 11 February 2008 (CST)
I'm seeing a lot of archived pages in the Talk namespace with "/Archive 1" appended to their names, where the corresponding unprefixed Talk page does not exist. It looks like someone mass-archived talk pages and neglected to create new talk pages or an archive index. I suggest that we move these pages back to their unprefixed titles, with a bot or mass edit tool if possible. --[[User:April Arcus|April Arcus]] ([[User talk:April Arcus|talk]]) 19:59, 12 April 2020 (PDT)

: This was caused by the initial deployment of the [https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:StructuredDiscussions StructuredDiscussions extension]. :::Fact is, you can't disable this through the regular $wgGroupPermissions interface: everyone, even logged-in users, are in the implicit <code>*</code> group and will therefore be able to create accounts (because <code>$wgGroupPermissions['*']['createaccount'] = true;</code>). There is [http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:%24wgAccountCreationThrottle this], which requires memcached (which is probably why we didn't use it before; Joe's set up memcached about a week ago). I couldn't find anything in the MediaWiki docs directly disabling account creation by registered users; it should be noted, though, that it would be easy to circumvent such a restriction by simply logging out. --[[User:Catrope|Catrope]]([[User talk:Catrope|Talk to me]] or [[Special:Emailuser/Catrope|e-mail me]]) 08:39, 12 February 2008 (CST)

This noticeboard is a location to discuss and coordinate administrative tasks for the Battlestar Wiki.

It is our hope that this place can serve as a location for administrators to coordinate their efforts on the maintenance tasks of the Wiki (it's not ALL fun and games), as well as a spot for our contributors to be able to bring things to the attention of the admins if something needs to be done. Need a protected page edited? An article or picture deleted? Admins will watchlist this page so that your request won't get lost in the shuffle.

Request For Article Deletion

Hello, I hope this is the correct page to ask for such things. I have done a lot of editing on the BSG: Deadlock articles and I have taken note that there was a duplicate article created (possibly my mistake) Please can I request that this (assault raptor) article be deleted? The duplicate for this article is here. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Fisher 2000 (talk • contribs).

Improperly Archived Talk Pages

It looks like someone mass-archived talk pages and neglected to create new talk pages or an archive index.
