- Season 4 is said to be the last Battlestar Galactica season by Edward James Olmos and Katee Sackhoff. [1] While David Eick initially denies this[2], the SciFi Channel later announced that Season 4 will be the final season of Battlestar Galactica, with Ron Moore and David Eick stating that this was a creative decision by the staff.
