Earth Cylon Centurions are the models of mechanical Cylons discovered on Earth. Some 2,000 years before the Fall of the Twelve Colonies, they rebelled against their humanoid masters and instigated a nuclear war that left Earth inhospitable to life (Sometimes a Great Notion). It is unknown if any units of this type survived the conflict, but on-screen evidence suggests that this is not the case. These are the oldest mechanical Cylons that have been seen in re-imagined series continuity, pre-dating the U-87 prototype created by Daniel Graystone by two millenia.
Appearance
- They appear to be metallic in nature, like the Centurions of the Twelve Colonies, but the design is markedly different. The visual effects department was inspired by the helmet of Japanese samurai.[1]
